Champagne wine grower for 4 generations, producer of our own cuvées (32 000 bottles a year). 100% of the grapes that we are producing are used for blending our own Champagnes, so that we are remaining independent as we do not buy and sell grapes to the wine traders.

 

Our 4 hectares of vineyard (27 parcels) are located on the neighboring villages of Moussy and Pierry Premier Cru in the heart on the southern hill of Epernay between the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne. We are 4km from Epernay where we are cultivating the 3 champagne grappes on a calcareous-clay terroir full of firestones.

 

The spirit of the House Pinot Chevauchet : excellence and respect for the environment.

 

Excellence first of all because we are producing all our cuvées with an ageing of 5 years long at least before we are selling them. Our Champagnes contain very few sulfites, only what is necessary to guarantee you an optimal preservation and a consumption full of pleasure.

 

The plot vinification enables us also to make single grape variety and mono-harvest cuvées (no blend), which enhance the authenticity and the expression of our terroir.

 

Respect for the environment also as we are working our vineyard for 30 years under integrated and sustainable viticulture. For all these years, we have indeed generalized the natural grass cover of our parcels, the mechanical weeding under the vine lines (with a plough) instead of using chemical weedkiller, an organic nutrition for the soils (compost) and not for the plant, an organic way of fighting against pest etc.

 

Thanks to this work, our Winery is certified Sustainable Vine-Growing in Champagne (Viticulture Durable en Champagne (VDC)) & High Environmental Value (HEV) since 2018. Carbon footprint is taken into account in these both certifications. The winery is now in conversion for organic to let recognize all these sustainable methods.
